After the conference, each night I explored the city. My entire goal of this trip was to never look like a tourist and to fit in with all the New Yorkers. Our first night in New York City, I went out to eat with my coworkers and our board members to Morton's. It's a great steak place... huge portions, amazing chocolate molten cake for dessert. (Don't worry Travis, this was before we started training) Following dinner it was off to the Rockefeller Center. To my surprise the Christmas tree was still up. It was beautiful, completely breath taking. Other adventures in NYC included a trip to David Letterman, absolutely hilarious. A truly amazing experience in the Ed Sullivan Theatre. I was also able to see Jersey Boys, great musical. One night I went out on a limb and saw "In the Heights," it's a rap musical. The BEST thing ever!!!!! Oh and to put the icing on the cake, Ricky Martin sat in front of me. He is SO hot in person. My crush from 5th grade sat in front of me for over 3 hours. I'm pretty sure I listened to every word he said. :) Let's see, what else... Oh I achieved my goal. While I was eating an amazing Chinease restaurant, our waiter asked me what part of the city I lived in and how I liked living in NYC! YAY, I didn't look like a tourist, woo hoo! After a walk through Central Station, it was time for shopping and I headed to Macy's. Any store that is more than the two stories that we have hear makes my day. It was fabulous in all it's glory. While in NYC, I got to spend some quality time with my friend Kayla. It was great to see her and meet some of her new friends. They took me to a realy New York modern dance performance! Among other things,Kayla took me to New Jersey. It's only a 15 minute subway ride but it is miles different than NYC. I had a great time and didn't want to come home but unfortunately I had to. I love you New York City, you've stolen my heart.

New York City, Oh How I Love You
I was fortunate enough to spend the first week of 2009 in New York City. I have officially fallen in love. If I ever run away, I will flee to this amazing city. This trip was full of learning during the day and exploring at night. The Inman Technology Conference was enlightening and sparked many a new ideas that I can only hope to implement in the near future.
