It all started with the talk of New Year's resolutions. At the beginning of each new year people begin reminissing on the past year and looking forward to the next. We ponder what we'd like to change or not change, and move forward with the hope of a positive future. This year I woke up a few days after Christmas and thought to myself, "what the hell happened to you, you've turned into a fat ass." I couldn't even button the Rockin Republic jeans I had bought two weeks earlier. So I decided to buy a gym membership and hire a trainer. I call Aspen because it's close and I talk to some guy on the phone. He bullshits me a little bit about paying some initiation fee and I'm not having it. Once I mention hiring a trainer, he drops the fee and says when do you want to start? Little did I know that I'd be meeting my trainer at 6am the following morning. From that day on I train twice a week with Travis and try and do cardio at least two other times a week. Now here lately I've been really, really stressed out. So what have I been doing, "focusing" on eating right and working out. Some people think 3 cardio workouts in one day is too much but I think it's staying focused. I'd rather be focused on something positive than drowning my sorrows at the bar or watching movies that make me cry every night.
I'm almost out of the 24 sessions that I bought, so I'm renewing. It's time to buy more sessions. I'm keeping Travis, A.) because he's good at getting me toned and B.) because he's easy on the eyes :)
So how am I rewarding myself for all this hard work?
Two weeks ago one of my best friends sent me some information about a cruise that we should go on, this is perfect. I need a vacation, and I need a reason to kick my butt into shape. What's more motivating than the thought of wearing a swimsuit for 7 days in a row.
So the plan is to stay focused so I'll have a beach body by August!

That's awesome! I've been feeling great about myself ever since I started going back to the gym. I have even kept it up during my travels which is something I never have done in the past! Good luck!

fe, Kristi, here. I'm sitting munching on tortilla chips and cheese dip when I decide to check in on your blog... and up pops that rediculously amazing body on your page. Thanks a lot! Now I will just spiral down into the ice cream and try to forget about it.
Seriously though - good for you! I hope you make amazing progress. And if you do - send me Travis's number. :)
Also - besides being really good at eating chips and dip - I'm great at typing - as seen in the previous post. Lovely.
